Nature Experience Programs
Welcome to the field of environmental education and nature experience at Saxon Switzerland National Park! During the founding of the National Park in 1990, the first foundations were already laid for successful educational work. Since then we have made many efforts to develop a large repertoire of programs for experiencing nature.
You want to book a program?
Whether for children or adolescents in schools or on a field trip – we have something to offer for all age groups. Leisure activities are not neglected either: Holiday camps for our Junior Ranger groups are open to anyone who wants to experience nature, hike, taste, hear and feel it.
The programs are usually held in German; in some cases tours in English may be organised too for you and your group of young people. Do not hesitate to contact Mrs Jendrzejewski – see below.
Arriving at our programs has been adjusted to the public transport network of the region. For specific information, please visit meeting points. The National Park Authority has been involved in the project “Class on tour” since 2007, which was initiated by Deutsche Bahn.

Getting involved & internships in nature experience
Our programs, which are mainly designed for schools and larger groups are – sorted by age group – presented in the above navigation in more detail (in German). Who doesn’t want to visit a program, but rather shape one themselves, can get information about jobs and internships from us directly – or go to this site.
Did you know …
… that the Saxon Switzerland National Park performs over 200 programs annually with a total of several thousand children and young people?
… that this large demand can only be met through the help of interns from various academic and professional fields?
… that there is at least one tailored program for almost every age group – not to mention the special programs?
