Goals, Principles, and Plans for Husbandry & Development
The National Park Policy Statement is our mid-range plan (extending for about 10 years) for further development of the National Park.
It is intended to augment the goals and principles contained in the
state decree which establishes the Saxon Switzerland National Park
Region(NLPR-VO). As such, the policy's practical function is to be a "link" to the concrete husbandry husbandry and development plans.
Transparency for all
The National Park Policy Statement is meant to help shape the goals and
work of the National Park Authority in a way that makes them
transparent and comprehensible for everyone. Our first policy was set
up in 1991 and is currently being revised.
All townships,
government agencies, associations and organisations concerned with park
affairs have been permitted to bring forward comments and suggestions
in the drafting of the policy. Saxony's Ministry for Environment and
Agriculture approved the program on 8.8.2007. The National Park office
will publish it in print shortly.
